Diane Covin is the founder of Sterling Group, LLC, a financial planning firm in partnership with Nowlin & Associates. She has 23 years experience in the financial services industry. Diane provides her clients with financial guidance through estate and financial planning, long-term care, disability income plans, employee benefit plans and other tax-advantaged programs. She has established a tradition of helping business owners and families achieve financial wellness and have brought a measure of certainty and peace to many families.
Diane’s profession is a calling and she cares deeply about the people she serves. Diane enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Mark and is the mother of five boys. She is actively involved in her church and in her community.
Bill Hardekopf is a partner in Hampton & Associates, which operates a number of websites that help consumers save money on their everyday expenses. He also is involved with AllWorship.com, an online radio station that plays free Christian worship music with no commercials. Prior to his current endeavors, he was involved in the marketing of various sports teams and consumer products. He and his wife, Susan, have three children and three grandchildren.
Susan Trimm earned a Masters in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has worked in Child Protective Services, nonprofit agencies and maintained a private practice for 25 years. She spent 18 years of her private practice working in women’s health and infertility affiliated with a medical clinic. She has counseled numerous survivors of rape and sexual abuse. Susan has a special interest in foster care and adoption issues. She is a strong advocate of the importance of the love and security of family, and has volunteered throughout her adult life working with children and teenagers. She has been married to Bill for 35 years and thoroughly enjoys her children and grandchildren.
Lisa followed in her father’s footsteps and became president of Anchor Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1991. She received the CIC designation in 1988 and the ARM designation in 1991. Lisa is a leader in the insurance industry in the southeast. She has served on the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents, Inc. Education, CIC, Small and Rural Agents, and Long Range Planning Committees. She is past President of the Birmingham Executive Board and has received numerous awards from the AIA.
In addition to her work and family, Lisa is active in her community. She is a member of the Hoover Chamber of Commerce and has served as the President of the Alabama Parents Club of the United States Air Force Academy. Lisa is a committed Christian. She is a long time active member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. She has served leadership roles in women’s ministry ,and is co-teacher of her Sunday morning small group class.
Kerry Lambert is a Media Professional who has spent his whole career in the Radio Industry. Since 1991 he has lived and worked in Birmingham, Alabama. Over the years he has done just about everything in radio including On-air Personality, Program Director, and General Manager. Kerry is currently an Account Executive with iHeartMedia where he represents 16 stations in Birmingham, Gadsden and Tuscaloosa. He is also the primary contact for The Total Traffic and Weather Network as well as all political advertising in the Central Alabama region for iHeartMedia.
Kerry is married to Tommye, and they have four adult daughters: Lauren Crews, Amy Crews, Lee Cohen (Ramsey) and Laura Lambert. Amy went to Heaven in November 2013. Kerry and Tommye have been members of Hunter Street Baptist Church for over 20 years serving in many capacities. Kerry has served on several civic and religious boards including The Kidney Foundation, The Leukemia Society, as well as serving as a Deacon at Hunter Street.
Kerry loves the University of Alabama football, and when it’s not football season he enjoys working in his yard, movies, and travel.
Katrina Smith “Trina” has been a Nurse for over 30 years in various leadership roles and is nowthe Cardiovascular Surgery Outpatient Nurse Practitioner at UAB’s Kirklin Clinic. She is married to Matt and has two adult daughters. She lives in Hoover and is a longtime member at Hunter Street Baptist Church. She enjoys gardening, reading and is a SCUBA diving enthusiast.
Tommye Lambert is founder and President of Live and Proclaim Ministries.
Live and Proclaim Ministries (LPM) is a Bible based ministry dedicated to providing easy to understand resources to Christians to aid them in making ethical decisions and to help Christians glean wisdom for social and cultural engagement.
LPM resources use the lens of the gospel to aid Christians seeking mercy, justice, and well being in personal, social, and political arenas.
LPM seeks to provide resources to equip Christians to lovingly engage in cultural and biblical discussions as opposed to engaging through anger, discord, and animosity.
Tommye is a teacher, speaker, writer, and minister. Tommye has written and edited devotional journals, articles, small group Bible studies, church-wide curricula, and is a regular blogger. She speaks at retreats, workshops, worship services, and teaches in a variety of settings.
Tommye serves on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) as the national patient voice representative for pulmonary medicine. Tommye is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Beeson Divinity School.
After enjoying a seventeen-year career in healthcare, Tommye resigned her laboratory medicine management position in 1996 when her husband was diagnosed with leukemia. She entered Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in 1998, earned an MDIV from Beeson in 2002, and served on the ministerial staff at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover, Alabama, from 1998 until 2011.
In late 2011, Tommye left ministry service at Hunter Street to become full time caregiver to her daughter, Amy. Amy went to heaven in November 2013. Tommye considers the two years she spent in constant, daily companionship with Amy as one of the greatest gifts God has bestowed upon her life.
Tommye is married to Kerry and is the mother of four adult daughters: Lauren, Amy, Lee, and Laura. Tommye and Kerry are active members of Hunter Street Baptist Church where she teaches in Wednesday Night Life.
